Gov. Jeff Landry is attempting to carry out the most sweeping change in Louisiana’s tax structure since adoption of the state constitution in 1974.

The governor’s cabinet continues to pitch his tax reform plan to legislators in hopes of them passing it in a special session next month. As projected numbers from the impacts of his plan trickle out,

Jeff Landry — dubbed the “Louisiana Forward” initiative — includes 10 bills intended to simplify and modernize the state’s tax system while spurring economic growth.
