A pair of ruby slippers that Judy Garland wore in "The Wizard of Oz" was auctioned for a record $28 million. The iconic shoes were stolen in 2005 but they were recovered by the FBI in 2018.
The pair – one of four surviving pairs Garland wore in the film – is the most valuable movie memorabilia ever sold at auction, according to a news release from Heritage Auctions.
