2005年8月17日 · There's alot of variables. Powder lot #, the way a person cycles the machine, powder baffles, machine leakage, even the differences in individual bushings. I have two #35 bushings that drop .8 different on average with GD when used in the same machine with the same powder lot#. Thats why is so important to always use a scale when loading.

2022年9月23日 · If all he hunts are Dove and Quail skip the 1 1/8 oz. 12 gauge. Load the 12 with 1 oz. or 7/8 oz., its easy to find one powder to do both of those with all the same components except the wad. Depending on which hull you load you could get away with a 1 oz. wad. Steve

2011年5月1日 · I am the wierdo here. After trying Red Dot, Green Dot, Titewad, Clays, and 700X.....my favorite became IMR 700X for 1 oz 12 ga loads. STS Hull, DRRT-12 (TGT clone) wad, 1 oz 8 1/2 magnum, Federal 209A primer, and 16.0 gr 700X produces loads that are distinguishable from factory loads only by primer color.

2013年5月12日 · Thanks for the responses. I went into the hills to try the new 930 and was surprised by the power of the recoil on 3" 10 pellet 000 loads and the 3" 12 pellet 00 loads. Fired about 40 of each and while it was fun to blast stumps, mudholes, and the like, I've got to admit that the recoil was brutal - even out of an 8 lb gun with a good recoil pad.

2022年4月10日 · 700X for 12 gauge 1 ounce. Keep pressures up. In a Gun Club hull, CB1100 wad, Win 209 primer use 17.5 grains. When you use anemic loads under 17.5 grains it gets dirty with 700X. The load I mentioned is a published load. I've run it in A400,391 and 390. No issues.

2009年8月26日 · First off, you're gonna have problems using the CB1118 12 wad for a 12 ga. 7/8 oz. load. I would go with the wad made for the 7/8 oz. load. I've used the CB1100, CB4100 an the CB0178 12 with success, even though the first 2 are made for a 1oz. load. The DRXXL pink wad seems to work the best. I really like to use a different powder for each gauge.

2008年4月4日 · The problem is that it takes 22 grains of Unique to get the same performance that 18 grains of Promo produces. This makes Unique a relatively uneconomical powder for 1 ounce loads. Since 90% of my shooting is 20 and 28 gauge I find more economical to use Unique for 12 gauge 1 ounce loads because I buy Unique 16 pounds at a time.

2009年11月18日 · With the lighter shot weights taking up less space, a bulkier powder is necessary. I use Red Dot--probably the bulkiest powder available--for 3/4 oz and 5/8 oz in the 12 gauge. DownRange XXL wads help also. Dan
