2011年7月21日 · Anyway, I started using it just because it cost so dang much. Now, I am convinced that it is the best Pick I have ever used. High Price or not there is none that compare to this Blue Chip thing. Just don't loose it. I have tried hundreds of picks. The Blue Chip pick is the best. Nov-25-2010, 10:02am #8.

2023年3月6日 · For A style I use either a Sully or Pinegrove. Have also used Lakota and liked them. Both A and F style. If the length works for you they are also a good choice. 1932 Gibson F2, 1929 Gibson A Jr., Strad-O-Lin, Boeh A5, Eastman MD514.
The best bridge for mandolin
2009年9月29日 · Used the Stew-Mac bridge fitting jig. Really made a big differance on my mandolin, and I also got the silver thumbwheels. They are lighter than the nickel ones. And I think that made a differance in the tone on my mandolin. It is woodier now, and louder. I have an A-9 Gibson. I highly recommend the CA bridge and the Stew-Mac bridge fitting tool.

Still gets tall enough for guitar if needed, but not bass. Super sturdy for mandolin, plus it folds and transports easily when needed. Blow on, man.

2013年1月7日 · Re: Best Mandolin Capo. Never tried it on mando, but I'll often use a Shubb on the first five strings of the guitar second fret to get a drop D (Actually drop E) tuning. It makes it possible to play other chords using standard fingering. I think a banjo Shubb would probably work on first three strings of a mandolin.

2015年4月20日 · The best value for money in the $1000 bracket is probably the KM900, which is an A5. If you insist on an F-style, you'll be forced to look to used instruments to get anything close to the quality of the KM900. There are quite a few used Kentucky F5 mandolins in that price bracket, so it shouldn't be too difficult.
