Specially to the bottom of the air handler. Air handlers with a short blower off delay. End up with the cold air from the coil laying on the bottom of the inside of the air handler.

2023年4月27日 · My HVAC installer ended up attaching "Clean Comfort 16x25x5 Merv 11 Media Air Cleaner 1400 CFM AMB11-1625-45" below the air handler. They are not done yet. They will finish tomorrow. Hopefully the city inspector won't mind the lack of clearance due to the door frame on the left. It seems to me the air handler is easily accessible for servicing.

Because of the natural characteristics of a gas, it's been a conundrum task since the beginning of time.

2019年8月11日 · My question is regarding the water sweating from the bottom of the air handler. I dried it also thinking the full pan below it was the cause. The next day it was back. (Not as bad but still sweating) I don't go into the attic on a regular basis to see if this is a normal occurrence but I don't imagine that it should be wet.

2024年12月6日 · Old thread, but new poster. I have similar questions as original poster. My cottage in Northern Virginia has its duct work – and the air handler – in an unconditioned, vented attic. The flex ducts (just r6, I think) are suspended (not very well) from the uninsulated roofline and a few feet above the attic ‘floor.’

The air handler breakers had two #12 wires each (oranges/blacks) in each lug, with exception the top breaker had an additional (orange and black) #14 wire installed in the lugs. So the top breaker had three wires (two #12 and one #14) in each lug.

2011年6月3日 · I live in S. Texas, where 100+-degree temps are common in summer. The air-handler is attic mounted - due to insufficient attic ventilation (which I'm also working on), attic temps get upwards of 135 on a 100-degree day. As I said, I'm working on the ventilation issue, and I'm also slowly replacing the R4-insulated flex ducts with R8 ducting.
