Maple 2" Thick Green Live Edge Slab, and Bar Oil Substitutes
2018年9月30日 · Ok, so got a lot of questions... Got a customer, owner of a the biggest cabinetry maker in the area, and he requested me to cut up as wide as possible 2" thick live edge green maple slabs. Now, I am cutting 48"+ slabs, and I am planning on cutting 18 or so 30-48"+ 6-8ft slabs from a 1 or a couple of logs.

2018年9月21日 · Today I was asked by a customer to make a live edge spine shelf so I headed into my cutoff piles and found some nice walnut pieces and went to work. They are going to give it to someone for a wedding engagement present. I finished it off with a few coats of Danish oil.

2018年12月12日 · He thinks wants a 9/4" x 32"x 7' double live edge slab top - doesn't care about planing but wants some sanding. Oil finish suits him fine. his "farm" is rustic. I may also make him a butterfly (bookend??) top 42" wide to compare with the 32" single slab to see which he likes best. We'll see how things look when we slab her up next weekend.
