2022年8月4日 · In terms of Haki, Shanks is probably superior, but not by much. Meanwhile, Luffy has better strength, speed, durability, endurance, DF, and pretty much every factor imaginable. And the gap in most of those categories is big, whereas the gap in Haki is small. Luffy most likely wins, but by very little.
The weakness of Gear 5 (current manga spoilers inside)
TLDR: While in Gear 5, it is harder for Luffy to focus and take fights seriously, leading him to make more mistakes or get distracted. I think with chapters 1092 and 1093, I’m beginning to see the downsides of gear 5, and why Luffy shouldn’t just start every battle with it, or maybe even not use it in every fight at all.

Although, I believe Luffy could overtake him in 90% of the fight considering he's learnt Ryou. Potentially, I think Luffy would be able to use his Devil Fruit since blackbeard can't touch him while using Ryou. So yeah, unless blackbeard gets a 3rd devil fruit, (which is probably Marco's DF) Luffy stomps this fight with low difficulty.

Luffy would maybe start fighting in his off Gears, such as 2nd, 3rd, or 4th. 2023年1月3日 · Luffy laughing maniacally, I feel like it turned into a Bugs Bunny type of cartoon, and the latest anime episode that reveals gear 5th for the first time just cemented my belief even further.
