2020年8月17日 · The Dragonfly 2 FRN model has a pivot screw and a body screw and a clip screw... All fit into a threaded barrel on the opposite side. The 2 piece scales from the link i provided doesn't need or have any more screw holes. Think of the factory one piece df2 body and cut it in half to make 2 scales and thats what you have with these new scales

So I've been looking at other options (besides just dyeing them). Flytanium makes some cool titanium scales.

2014年9月23日 · My first dye job. I bought 2 Dragonfly SE Salts, a hawkbill for myself and the other for my sweetie. I was inspired by the KP mods. I experimented first with white nylon zip ties to try and get dye strength and color correct. I tried IDye Blue, Rit Bluejeans. I tried Food Color with vinegar to try to get the zip ties yellow for better testing.

He also offers scales for those models in carbon fiber, but the price is about $85-100 if I recall, and I have an aversion to paying as much for aftermarket scales as I did for the actual knife.

2010年6月27日 · Sure, Shaman scales on a Bodacious would of course not offer the same grip due to the handle part of the choil. But would still bring the fingers closer to the edge and result in more cutting edge while still offering the rounded Shaman scales. (I personally though am sure I'd prefer the flat Bodacious scales anyway overall).

2019年9月5日 · this one might get me. i've been wanting a dragonfly in a better steel for a while. i really wish it was coated, but i might make an exception. and if i play along, maybe it'll encourage them to finally do a ladybug ladybug. i may also buy some aftermarket scales for this one too, even though i think the zome looks good in red and black.

2007年3月3日 · The only downside of the Dragonfly is the clip screws. They're an offensive abomination. This size, however, is too big to be small, and too small to be the best tool for the job. I prefer to either go smaller with a Ladybug, or bigger with a Delica. But if you're dead set on one of the two, the Dragonfly would be my choice.

As far as steels, you can currently get the S90V with CF scales, S30V with G10 scales, LC200N and Magnacut with FRN scales, (forgot the Spy27) and there are probably a few other versions out. I put AWT scales on my Magnacut blade and it feels like a very premium knife. Of course out of the box the S90V with CF scales is premium.
