2017年6月6日 · Without rats, there are seldom snakes. Squirrels are in my back yard every day of the year, but not on my bird feeders. The reason is because I put 5 inch PVC pipe around the stands, from the ground to the bottom of the feeder. The squirrels cannot get a grip on this pipe. I took a photo, but am unable to upload it.

But the will bring in mice, and to follow the mice comes the snakes none of wich I want to have in my yard. I would stick with maybe a humming Bird feeder and attract the bee's and birds. 2024年5月10日 · On the first day peering out the blinds, I watched in horror a hawk swoop down, grab, and devour a little bird which moved and chirped during the entire ordeal. I went out and pulled the birdbath out of the ground and tossed it. I see neighbors 2 down with an active bird feeder and the hawks waiting on the roof for their next meal.

2021年1月15日 · Plastic owl mounting. The Wife and I have had squirrels climbing all over our bird cage and even chewing holes in it. I bought a plastic owl from Home Depot. It has a round hole with plug on the bottom to put sand inside to keep it in place. However, I hope to be able to mount it on top of my bird cage frame for maximum effect.

2020年5月12日 · Thanked 9,914 Times in 3,076 Posts. I could be wrong on this, but in general I don’t think hummingbirds spend lots of time in the Villages area. They definitely stop by the area during migration. In the winter hummingbirds commonly go further south, often to South America and the Caribbean and during the winter they go further north.
