I was on a bus once and I met a guy who said he played as a gnome barbarian so I changed seats. 64.29%. I never play as a gnome barbarian because gnome barbarians suck and gnome berserkers rock. 7.14%.

So the Barbarian isn't outclassed by any of his kits and retains his versatility however the kits fill in the gaps left in the lack of Gnome, Dwarf, Half-Orc, Halfling class selection. You have a bare-armed Barbarian, a ranged Barbarian and a support Barbarian with full supportive Druid spells and some damage Druid spells.

Barbarian has downsides, but they also have much better rage and d12 hit die. A simple 18/01STR 18CON Human Barbarian goes from +1 To Hit, +2 damage to +4 to hit, +10 damage, extra 2HP per level and gains all the immunities. Dwarven Defender gets amazing defensive melee bonuses, but that's the problem - they're melee bonuses.

My level 7 gnome barbarian is rocking -13 AC and 113HP and can tank every swarm by herself with just one healer a missile support no mage spells. When the mage gets slow everything will be trivial lol!
