2004年9月25日 · We mix ours as well we use 2 parts whole oats, 1 part cracked corn, 1 part alfalfa pellets ,1\4 part black oil sunflower seeds. We top dress it with Mannal Pro goat minerals. We also feed this to rabbits only add plain salt to it for them. We have had real good luck with it. I do not know if it is cheaper or not but we had issues with premixed ...

2014年12月27日 · That would be a diet pretty high in fat and pretty pricy as BOSS is expensive. My commercial mix is corn, oats, a dairy pellet at 16%. It is mixed with a bit of wet molasses and a vitamin E/Selenium mix. I then take this base mix and mix it 12 parts grain mix, 6 parts alfalfa pellet, 3 parts shredded beet pulp, and 1 part BOSS. That's 1/22 BOSS.

This way we don't have to worry about unriary calculi in our boys. They also get a tablespoon of loose goat minerals with their evening ration.

2013年9月17日 · I don't have a special mix either. I feed Purina Noble Goat Grower 16 RM 20. It's similar to what Nancy D feeds. I've experimented some with adding supplements, but didn't see enough difference in my goats to warrant the extra expense. Dappled, if you have a feed store that sells Purina Goat Chow, they should be able to get Noble Goat Grower ...

2011年11月2日 · I have a doeling that I raised on powedered goat milk (not cow). she did awesome on it, is bigger than her sister who was raised on goat milk and has been 100% healthy, not once has she had one problem!!! I think the biggest problem is people make the mistake of over feeding them . . . .

2014年8月18日 · I mix my own feed and this is the recipe that I use: 150 lbs Alfalfa pellets 50 lbs oats 25 lbs Steam rolled barley 15 lbs BOSS (black oil sunflower seeds) 10 lbs soybean meal. I have Alpines and my milking does get about 4-5 lbs a day. Doelings and yearling get 2 lbs a day. Bucks get 1 lb a day during breeding season.
