Jatco (owned by Nissan & supplied to other car mfg.'s) were the worst even though they have claimed to of fixed the problems in the last couple yrs. (they were using inferior metals in the design which caused early failures).

Turbo has been revised, some internal changes have been made but Japan is quiet about them. Proper oil changes , coolant quality and tier 1 fuel go along way in engine longevity . 2016年7月6日 · Reliability would go to the 6MT because it is proven long term over the CVT in 2013 form especially. There is a reason the car is much lighter with a manual with less parts and less maintenance and also cheaper to replace. MPGs would be better in the CVT because you really don't want to go fast and not as fun or engaging as the manual.

For the 2013 Accord with CVT, how serious are the CVT issues?
2016年9月27日 · I prefer the CVT in my 2016 sport to the 6sp I had in my 2013. It's not a sports car, and the CVT seems more appropriate for the car. I've had zero issues with the CVT over 12k miles so far and it's extremely smooth and responsive. Entirely different than CVTs I had driven in the past that made me initially overlook the automatic Accord in 2013.
