2007年9月22日 · The Glock dovetail is "hourglass shaped", wider on the sides and tighter toward the center. It is however, less stressful on the sight tool to "push" (clockwise rotation) rather than "pull" from the weak side of the tool regardless of the dovetail direction you start from.

2017年12月22日 · I had Glock's rear sight tool. It works fine for their sights, but if you are using it to install aftermarket sights that are only a tiny bit taller (.007 or .008" as I recall) that tool will jam and/or break during that install, leaving you with the rear sight half-way installed.

2015年6月17日 · No need of vise for front sights - they screw in with very little play. Use tad amount of loctite or fingernail polish to set screw and eyeball. Have done this (Ameriglo sights) on 17, 19, and 22 without a problem. Have used pusher and vise for rear.

Now I want to reverse the Glock factory sight on a couple of my Glocks to present a solid black rear to increase my focus on the Hi Viz front sight that I have on most of my Glocks.

2015年7月28日 · The polymer Glock sight has a small metal plate on the bottom. As long as it didn't get broken off when removing it you can re-install it. The sight on the left is broken, the one on the right isn't and can be reused. If you have a vice, pad the slide and lightly clamp the slide in place, tape around the dovetail to avoid damage.

2013年12月10日 · If you're installing both sights at one time, install the rear sight first. Note: I've used both blue and red Loctite on front and rear sights with complete success. And while I've had to reinstall every front sight my LGS has ever installed for me, nothing I have installed myself has ever worked loose, over thousands of rounds fired! :thumbsup ...
Best tool to remove, and install, Glock front sights?
2014年10月9日 · What is the best tool to remove and install Glock front sights? Looking at the hex on the end of the screw there doesn't seem to be very much room between the hex and the adjacent slide surface to get a socket on the end. I was thinking about getting the WIHA 3/16" socket driver. Is there anything wrong with it? :dunno:.

2020年2月2日 · Glock must have a taper in the dovetail, as you have to push them off left to right, and pull the new sight on, right to left. I always forget and wrote it on the lid of the box. CRS sucks. I never had trouble getting the sights off on my 42's/43's, but getting that piece in the tool that holds their smaller slide was like a bad Chinese puzzle.
