2011年9月20日 · My house has some uniquely sized old metal HVAC vents - I can't find replicas easily and doing htat would cost me a good amount. Instead, I'd like to re-use them. Now, that being said, the old vents are covered in paint (and mostly very dark green paint or ugly taupe).

2023年1月29日 · Also be advised, usually with those zero clearance units, once you remove it, the whole package comes out, meaning the air cooled chimney pipe and all, behind the unit will more then likely be a bunch of old insulation and stud walls going up a the route of the chimney. This maybe more work then what you want to put in for this time of year.

2009年2月18日 · The key for me was vice grips and a piece of cloth. Ideally you want the vice grips to grab the metal rod and hook on the last winding of the spring. Then when you twist the grips, the spring handle is loosened and unscrewed at the same time. Cloth just keeps everything from getting scratched.
