2011年7月19日 · We are trying to compare 3 different products: Metro/Roman, Gerard, and Decra/Villa. On the surface, these products seem very similar. 120 mph rating for Wind, Class A Fire Resistance, great warranties; one of the builder uses Gerard and the other is offering Metro and Decra. If other metal roofing mfgs do not do the research and cannot support this usage they are missing out on a market and the mfgs that come to the roundup seem to have a monopoly.

There are some industry publications on metal roofing including one put out by NRCA (National Roofing Contractors Association) but frankly those are very "watered down" in an attempt to be generic. The best thing is to choose a product and then obtain full instructions from the manufacturer.

2005年6月16日 · I am guessing, though, that in 15 - 20 years in your environment, both galvalume products will be showing some corrosion. Certainly, the clear coated product could shown the most. I would suggest checking with the roofing manufacturers about their warranty for your job, looking at past jobs they have done, checking references on the installer, etc.
