2007年7月21日 · Another option is to buy 2 welders. You can buy a Hobart Handler 187 refurb from Toolking for $530.00 delivered. You could easily buy a 110v mig welder for $400.00 if you shop around and/or find a good used Miller or Hobart. Use .023 wire in the 110v welder, .030 wire in the 230V model. Millermatic 210/212 are good units.

2012年6月6日 · I have the 180 and like it just fine. I used a Lincoln 175 at a machine shop I used to work at and that welder worked better then any mig I have ever used. BUT! the reason that welder worked so well is because the power into the building was 440 and we have a 220 converter for that plug outlet. So there was not even a drop in power.

Looks like a Spoolmate 100 (and appropriate wire) and a small bottle of 100% argon should be all I really need. According to Miller's compatibility chart the Spoolmate 100 is a direct fit for the MM180, so no adapter required.

2005年10月19日 · My old welder recently died and I talked with a lot of the local shops, NONE of them recommended a Hobart over the Miller or Lincoln unless the upgrade would require the kids to eat mac and cheese without the cheese for the next 2 months. Seriously, the Miller or Lincolns are much better machines and all the shops asked me if I liked red or blue.

2012年3月23日 · There is no difference. They are the same welder. The difference between these and a "real" one you get from a welding store is pretty good though. The welding store one has an all metal feed and variable power. The box store ones have different power settings. All that to say I have a Pro Mig 180 that does everything I need it to do.

2011年7月6日 · The 185 had a 150A @ 60% duty cycle and had a max output of 185A so basically the Miller 180's peak amperage with a Miller 212's duty cycle. With the current Miller Golden Ticket offers a new 211 will be a ~$950 proposition which to me makes a 10+ year old bare 185 for $700 a tough sell in my mind.
