2021年12月1日 · All the previous consoles used cartridges and even the Game Boy have more rpg games than the N64. Nintendo was just not interested in its development or to attrack and retain Square. Even Enix Was releasing some games for the console. I am sure that Grandia could be released for the 64 and the FF VII demo shows that the game was under development.

2017年9月9日 · The problem with using Gamefaqs list is that the community there loves RPGs and first party Nintendo games yet hates Sports games and most licensed games. (As do many non-casual gamers of course) For example Ogre Battle 64 (possibly my favorite game on the system by the way) would never be ranked this high saleswise.

Well I have fond memories of Rogue Squadron, Turok 2, Snowboard Kids, Doom 64, Duke 64 (FPS lineup seemed better than ps1 somehow), and Vigilante 8 myself, but yeah mostly people mention Rareware and Nintendo titles when they think N64. Mario 64, Maro Kart, Ocarina of Time and Goldeneye sold the system more so than anything else did.

It was amazing when it came out. I remember going to Best Buy as a child and being blown away by Starfox 64 and Super Mario 64. I had never seen 3d games before. 😲 My first console was the SNES, but the N64 will have a special place. Super Mario 64 was such a life-changing game. I couldn't believe what I was playing.

2020年9月7日 · Sticking with "Any RPGs" (rather than requiring them to also be "good"), and taking "RPG" kind of loosely: Aidyn Chronicles, Quest 64, arguably Harvest Moon, arguably Shadowgate 64. Out of those, Aidyn and Quest are more definitely RPGs. Quest is really simplistic, and Aidyn is known for its grinding. Shadowgate is more of a puzzle-adventure game.
