2022年7月6日 · It is a common mindset unfortunately. I think it’s a typical colonial mentality (at least for Pidgin/African creoles). Speaking English is seen as better. It’s a sign of intelligence and being highly educated to some. There are people that still call Krio, Pidgin etc ‘broken English’. I cringe whenever I hear that phrase.
