Taitung Forest Park (traditional Chinese: 台東森林公園; simplified Chinese: 台东森林公园; pinyin: Táidōng Sēnlín Gōngyuán) is a park at Taitung City, Taitung County, Taiwan. The park is nicknamed the Black Forest by the local residents due to its immense dark beefwood trees. [1][2]

There are definitely beautiful spots in Taitung Forest Park, including many lovely hibiscus plants and a nice pond. The asphalt paths are well-maintained and great for cycling. A lot of new things are being developed, and there's no doubt that the area will eventually become a memorable park. Right now, it feels a bit impersonal and unfinished.
