Kilchurn castle Kilchurn Castle was a fortress and a comfortable residence. It was built in the 1450s by Colin Campbell of Glenorchy and is located on the banks of Loch Awe in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. It consisted of a five-storey tower house with a lower hall, courtyard and a garrison below.
